A Profile in Red Wizardry: José Manuel Rodríguez Delgado

As promised in the last episode, this week’s Silver segment features another Profile in Wizardry, albeit of a more nefarious sort. We explore the electronic mind control techniques developed by Dr. Delgado via a class, curated by Azazel, which introduces us to Red Faction aka Black Hat Wizardry. The topic of free will pops up multiple times especially in relation to technology, which itself is neither good nor bad but can be used for either depending upon the intent of the wielder. Some real world examples are given, such as stopping a charging bull, along with some more speculative examples of possible “Delgadoed” incidents, all of which are tragic.
